Unusual Smoking Laws
With more states adopting anti-smoking laws, it has gone on crushing the hopes of most cigar and cigarette smokers. For most smokers, all these laws are ridiculous.
However, unusual laws are a common part of today’s society. For instance, there is one law imposed in Denver where people are forbidden to lend their vacuum cleaners to their neighbors. There is also a law in Wyoming that prohibits individuals to take pictures of rabbits every June. There are so many regulations that were formulated that are simply outlandish. In Champaign, Illinois, it is against the law to pee in your neighbor’s mouth!
With all these bizarre laws proliferating, it wasn’t long until these odd laws infiltrated the tobacco business. These days, it has become obvious because of the “no smoking,” signs you see almost everywhere. You don’t only find these laws in one state, but bizarre smoking laws are present anywhere.
Another example of weird laws includes one in France. In France, ashtrays are thought to be deadly weapons. One reason for this could be that they can be used as such or they could possibly attack you in a dark alley somewhere by blinding you with a cloud of dust and ash. However, the most probable reason for this could be because it’s France!
There is no doubt that you will find plenty of unusual and downright bizarre laws in this country. However, the cigar smoker can relax knowing that these weird laws are not only happening in their industry. It’s actually happening almost everywhere. There are simply too many weird laws now, like being banned from humming or being banned from driving a housecoat. It makes one wonder whether more laws like this will come to pass. Who knows, one day there might be a law that says cigarettes will be replaced by their luxurious counterpart, the cigar.
